I am an eternal Optimist, are you too???

I didn't know that there was a thing called the International Day of the Optimists. But then, there are so many things I do not know, and I live in the eternal Hope that someday I will know at least bits or pieces of them.
Apparently, The resolution to celebrate Optimist Day was introduced in Quebec by Sylvain Levesque, a member of the Lorretteville Optimist Club and the Quebec National Assembly, and it is being celebrated ever since.
Much to my utter chagrin, I introspected and realised that I have always been an incurable optimist and a hopeless romantic. Now, you may say, what does the one have to do with the other?
Well, you see, I am also a typical Aries, much like Scarlett O'Hara, who, at the height of the siege, mayhem, murder and marauders capturing cities, says to herself, " As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this, and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill."... and that she will go to Tara.
Or take, for example, the famous last lines...After all, tomorrow is another day. For reasons unknown, I have navigated the quagmire that is my life much in the same manner - taking each day as it comes and thinking, after all, tomorrow is another day.
Mentally bruised, battered, torn asunder and disrespected, I have taken to Maya Angelou.
"You may write me down in history. With your bitter, twisted lies,. You may trod me in the very dirt. But still, like dust, I'll rise."
You see, the fulcrum of being alive lies in optimism. Negative chatter and nay-sayers will try and reign supreme, but having that well of optimism deep within will let you take that inferential leap from the nadir of depression to the glorious, sunshiny, happy state of mind.
Now, don't get me wrong. Some of you will laugh and think, is she for real? Does she not know that her work may become redundant, that she can lose her job, and that a content writer is a thing of the past? At the least, you may think I am delusional and wildly impractical.
But you know what? Your optimism can be a choice. Choose to be optimistic.
Thank the Universe for whatever you have dealt with; you must have learned an invaluable lesson from them.
Learn to say "Thank You". Be grateful for every little thing cause Gratitude is a very, very positive practice.
Cut off unnecessary people from your life. Be with people who cherish you, who uplift you, who look up to you and who you learn from.
Last but not least, take time to meditate and write three things you are grateful for on a daily basis. These could be random, mundane stuff like, "I am so grateful that the plumber came on time to fix the leakage" or 'It was so gratifying to get a cup of coffee as soon as I reached home, after a long day". If you are one of those who love their stationaries, get a pretty diary, too.
Trust the process. Heal yourself and know that Hope springs eternal and have that eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, lightening the darkest corners of your mind and being.
Till then, Love and Light...Lumos and let there be sunshine!
Cause all it takes is a little bit of faith love and pixie dust!
Be an Optimist.
